Half Way There!

I am finally over the half way point with the ponchette! I can't wait to get this thing finished. I do enjoy knitting it though, as it is a nice, easy, watch tv knit!

It was finally nice enough to get into gardening today. My poor gardenia looks awful, and I'm hoping I can save it.

I've restarted my teacup collection (I just have 1!). I bought 2 off ebay so I can't wait to see them!

He Likes it!

So I was working on my ponchette earlier today and my husband asked how come I haven't been working on the scarf I had started for him. (I had intended to finish it as a Christmas gift, but didn't quite make it. When I had originally shown him the start of it, I thought he seemed disinterested, so I just stopped working on it) He was complaining that now he wouldn't get to wear it this winter now. I guess since I've never knit anything for him I was just nervous about what he would think. I guess I better get on it! It's the Irish Hiking Scarf pattern. I'll have to post a pic of my progress when I find time.

This first few days back at work wore me out! I took 2-3 hour naps every day after work (and then of course couldn't sleep at night!) I guess the surgery wore me out more than I thought. Hopefully next week I'll be more back to normal. I'm anxious to get better too because I am really missing yoga.

I finally finished reading Teacher Man by Frank McCourt. I really enjoyed it, maybe because I'm a teacher too, but it gave me a lot to think about.

Well. Let's see if I can actually get to sleep tonight. We've got a Super Bowl party to get to tomorrow!

Back to Work

So I'm finally back to work after the laparoscopy. I missed everyone! It gets a bit depressing to be home alone and bedridden. I'm still in some pain, but manageable. Now I'm trying to get up enough energy to work on my ponchette.
